The Series of Research Proposal Presentations by Students of the Faculty of Agriculture Has Commenced

The series of research proposal presentations by fourth-year students of the Departments of Agricultural Economics and Development, and Agronomy at the Faculty of Agriculture of Farah University has officially commenced during an academic session.

The session was inaugurated with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Qur’an.

Subsequently, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Pohandyar Esmatullah Haidari, delivered a speech on the importance and status of research. He emphasized that conducting applied research projects—particularly those aimed at addressing agricultural challenges in Farah Province—is considered a fundamental necessity. He further stressed strengthening the linkage between the university and society, stating that students’ research should be designed based on the real needs of farmers and the local conditions of the region to ensure practical and effective outcomes.

Then, the Head of Research and the Scientific Journal of Farah University, Teaching Assistant  Mohammad Hussain Miakhil, spoke about the role of research in higher education institutions and highlighted the significance of developmental projects in scientific advancement and social transformation. He underscored the importance of promoting a research culture within academic environments.

In the last part of the session, students presented their research proposals under the supervision and evaluation of the jury panel.
