Sharia Faculty of Farah Institute of Higher Education

 

Introduction

The Faculty of Sharia of Farah Institute of Higher Education was established in 1401 by having two departments, Islamic Education and Jurisprudence and Law, for the needs of the Afghan society with the proposal of the head of the Farah Institute Higher Education and the approval of the honorable Ministry of Higher Education.

There are 15 professors in this faculty, all of whom are scholars and muftis and well educated. There are three hardworking managers in the Teaching Affairs, Department Affairs and library.

Because this faculty is newly established, its classes are three classes, one is the Freshmen of Islamic Teachings, and two are the first and second classes of jurisprudence and law, and the total number of students in all classes reaches to 123 students.

 

Vision
The Faculty of Sharia at Farah Institute of Higher Education strives to uphold and promote the values and principles of Islamic jurisprudence and legal sciences through teaching, research, and academic activities. Guided by the teachings of the sacred religion of Islam and the noble values governing Islamic society, the faculty aims to preserve and advance public interest in accordance with Sharia principles.

Mission
The Faculty of Sharia is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering accurate and profound understanding in the fields of Islamic and judicial sciences, as well as in matters of faith and belief. It aims to produce skilled and enlightened experts in Islamic Sharia who are not only professionally competent but also committed to religious ethics, serving as role models in Afghan society.

Objectives
As one of the academic centers for Islamic knowledge under the framework of the Farah Institute of Higher Education, the Faculty of Sharia aligns its goals with the overarching mission of the Institute and the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan. In fulfilling its mission, the Faculty pursues the following objectives:

1. To educate professional and committed cadres in the fields of jurisprudence, judiciary, and Islamic knowledge.
2. To train skilled and professional preachers and advocates of Islam.
3. To impart a scholarly understanding of Islamic values to the youth of the country.
4. To disseminate Islamic knowledge through the graduates of the faculty.
5. To prepare specialized personnel in Islamic studies and Islamic worldview.
6. To develop theories and frameworks in the areas of Islamic economics and banking.
7. To introduce and promote the historical achievements of Islamic civilization.
8. To train dedicated and expert staff for the education and higher education sectors.
9. To conduct scientific research in the fields of Islamic jurisprudence, law, and judiciary.
10. To research and explore the integration of Islamic principles into modern sciences.
