Department of Business Administration

Introduction

The Department of Business Administration (BBA) was established in 1398 SH (2019–2020) within the Faculty of Economics at Farah University.

The Department currently has 111 students enrolled in its academic program. Its academic staff consists of three faculty members, including one holding a Master's degree and two holding Bachelor's degrees.

The Department aims to provide students with both theoretical and practical professional education in Business Administration, enabling them to contribute effectively to manufacturing and service enterprises. As these enterprises constitute an essential part of every country's economy, their growth and development play a significant role in promoting national economic development.

Furthermore, the growing demand among public and private organizations for professionals equipped with both specialized knowledge and managerial skills, together with the need for competent middle- and senior-level managers, was the primary motivation behind the establishment of the Department of Business Administration within the Faculty of Economics at Farah University.

Vision

The Department of Business Administration is committed to strengthening the managerial and entrepreneurial capabilities of its students and faculty members through modern teaching methods and applied research by 1406 SH (2027–2028), thereby contributing to the economic and social development of society.

Mission

To educate committed, trustworthy, and competent graduates in the field of Business Administration through experienced and qualified academic staff; to enhance the quality of higher education services; to promote applied research; and to prepare young professionals to address economic challenges and contribute to the country's economic growth and sustainable development.

Objectives

  1. To provide students and applicants of the Business Administration program with the highest possible standard of academic and educational services.
  2. To provide appropriate educational facilities that support students' academic and personal development.
  3. To create opportunities for enhancing the academic qualifications and academic ranks of the Department's faculty members.
  4. To promote academic, research, and outreach activities related to the field of Business Administration.
  5. To facilitate the active participation of institutions, entrepreneurs, and professionals in the Department's research and practical activities.
  6. To strengthen human resource management by emphasizing the attraction, retention, and development of qualified professionals needed by society.
