History of the Institute

Farah University was established in 2013 based on the demand of the people, lawyers, and the decision of the meeting of the Council of Ministers in 2013 and the development plan of the Ministry of Higher Education. now this institute has allot of buildings like teaching (education and agriculture), administrative, library, Mosque, male and a female dormitory, sports gymnasium buildings, and a large green field.
The Education and Training faculty with two departments (Mathematics-Physics and Chemistry-Biology) Created in 2011 and the faculty of Agriculture with two departments (Agronomy and Economics and Agricultural Development) Created in 2012.  The Departments of (Dari, Pashto, English, chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics) was started work Separately in 2018. and the Faculty of Economics with two departments (National Economy and Administration and Trade) began in 2020, and after that the Faculty of Sharia with two departments (Islamic teachings, jurisprudence and law) Created in 2022.
